Skywalk Lift on Kebayoran Lama Market Side is Now Fully Operational

The Skywalk lift on the Kebayoran Lama Market side in South Jakarta, which was damaged some time ago, is now back in operation for the public, especially public transportation users.

Lift was back to normal by last Monday afternoon

Lift Skywalk Operator at Kebayoran Lama Market side, Muhammad Subarno, said that the lift had stopped for about two weeks due to technical issues and the spare parts from the provider taking time to arrive or being on backorder.

"Alhamdulillah (thank God), the spare parts have arrived and have been repaired, so the lift was back to normal by last Monday afternoon," he expressed, Wednesday (10/15).

He added, the lift aimed at facilitating access for public transportation users, such as people with disabilities and the elderly, operates every Monday to Friday from 6 AM to 10 PM. Then, the operations on Saturday and Sunday start from 8 AM to 4 PM.

"The lift usage intensity is busy in the morning from 6 AM to 10 AM, while in the evening from 3 AM to 8 PM," he explained.

He urged Kebayoran Lama Skywalk users to always pay attention to the specified capacity or load limit. This is to ensure the safety and comfort of the users.

"Let's take care of its usage together. The elevator can only hold a maximum of seven people, so please don't overload it to prevent damage or other issues," he explained.

One of the lift users, Annisa Salsabila, emphasized the importance of this lift to continue operating as it provides convenience, especially for people with disabilities and the elderly.

"Thank God, it has been fixed. When I go home from work or after activities, I feel very tired if I have to go up many stairs, this lift is very helpful. I would like to thank the staff who repaired this elevator," she admitted.
